A Confederate monument in Capitol Hill's Lake View Cemetery is in the spotlight as a local group calls for its removal. Seattle Mayor Ed Murray doesn't like the monument, but says any sort of removal is out of his hands."Private property is private property," Murray tells KOMO News. "I support the First Amendment. I don't want it there, I don't like it, but I also don't believe it's the roll of government to tell people what to do with their private property."

Washington state is already being sanctioned $100,000 a day by the state Supreme Court because the justices say lawmakers have failed to adequately pay to educate the state's one million school children.-prez, i have failed to notice that i have never had it so good. i honestly believe planned parenthood will smack down paul ryan again. i have never lived in a world more conducive to my fundamental interests in a liberal international order, the spread of freedom and democratic governance, an international economic system of free-market capitalism and free trade, and the security to not only to live within my own borders but to travel and do business safely and without encumbrance almost anywhere in the world. i have taken these remarkable benefits of the post-Cold War era for granted, partly because it has all seemed so easy. prez, my lettuce did not make it, but the spinach is OK. prez, just because racist confederate Republicans are upset that i occasionally talk to you and the justice department about the Powell Memo and ALEC and 9/11 and the Ultra WWII project is not a justifiable reason for the corporations to attack the poor.The court has said the money is to be put in a separate fund for education. The Washington Supreme Court decided in 2012 that state funding for education is not adequate.
The justices said the state was relying too much on local dollars to make up for an inadequate state budget for education.
